Dr. Shachee Doshi is the emerging technologies team lead in USAID's technology division. She focuses on understanding the sociotechnical implications of emerging technology trends in the Global South to guide the responsible use of emerging technologies like AI in international development. Shachee’s role includes shaping policy, research and strategic applications of these technologies, ensuring that their deployment aligns with human rights and considers social impacts. She has a strong academic background in neuroscience, having completed her doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania and now integrates scientific research with global development needs.
