At the recent AI Summit in New York, ABBYY senior director of strategy Maxime Vermeir discussed the company’s intelligent document platform and how it integrates both document AI and process AI to support customers on their automation journey.
Companies start their automation journey with document AI and process AI, according to Vermeir.
“We’ve integrated with watsonx to actually make it possible to leverage their LLM technologies inside of our platform,” Vermeir said.
However, Vermeir noted that large language models are not always the only AI solution.
“For process, it’s all about understanding where your organization is today and where the bottlenecks are that you can go improve.”
Research from ABBYY found that 90% of business processes have documents involved.
“The end goal is artificial general intelligence,” Vermeir said. “We’re about making sure that we solve real world problems for our customers.”
