In an event that will combine in-person and virtual conference experience

The AI Summit Silicon Valley and the IoT World 2021 have joined forces for a blockbuster event in 2021, covering the entire ecosystem from IoT components and devices through to AI applications.

The combined conference and exhibition is scheduled to take place in November at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

It will be held as a ‘hybrid’ event – connecting the in-person North American attendees to the global online audiences.

The move suggests that the return of large-scale, physical events is on the horizon – at least according to Informa, one of the world’s largest events companies that is responsible for both brands.

Positive thinking

This will be the 8th annual IoT World, and the 6th annual AI Summit Silicon Valley (previously known as AI Summit San Francisco).

The AI Summit series of events has been running since 2016, with conferences and exhibitions in some of the world's largest AI hubs. This year, due to the restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, all of the events took place in a virtual environment. Next year, four in-person events are scheduled, taking place in Singapore, London, New York and Silicon Valley.

The IoT World used to run dedicated events for North America, Europe, Asia, China and Africa. Next year, all of these will take place on the same date: the North American conference and exhibition will be held physically alongside the AI Summit, while global audiences will be able to access even more content online.

According to the organizers, this will enable the attendees to “reduce time out of the office but attending one scaled industry event covering two of the most important enterprise technology developments enterprise leaders face in progressing their digital transformation.”

The physical event in Santa Clara will be organized in line with the Informa AllSecure Standard, a framework developed by Informa in partnership with other large exhibition organizers, venues, suppliers, contractors, and government and local authorities in order to keep its exhibitors, speakers and attendees safe.

The IoT World 2021 and the AI Summit Silicon Valley will be held on November 2-4 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Click here for more information.
