Deloitte has launched Unlimited Reality: a metaverse-focused service that includes tools for companies to create “virtual worlds” for enterprise, industrial and consumer settings.

The announcement also saw the reveal of Dimension10 Studio, which would allow users on Nvidia systems to build virtual environments.

Dimension10 is built to run on Nvidia RTX GPUs and was enhanced by work on both Deloitte’s Center for AI Computing and Nvidia’s Omniverse Enterprise platform for three-dimensional design collaboration, which was launched in April.

The new offerings “allows clients to explore, and even simulate, cross-industry artificial intelligence use cases in a virtual world to accelerate the innovation cycle,” Deloitte said in its announcement.

The new services have the potential to “help our clients take advantage of the exponential growth in virtual worlds and economies,” said Dan Helfrich, chair and CEO of Deloitte Consulting.

“There is huge potential for digital realms to benefit business and society at large and we are pleased to offer access to connected virtual worlds that may exceed the economics of our current physical economy."

More metaverse

Ever since Facebook rebranded itself as Meta in October, the tech world has seen an expedited shift towards embracing its latest buzzword, the metaverse, a concept of internet-hosted 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection.

For example, software specialist Unity showed off Simulation Pro and SystemGraph in November, which is designed to simulate AI and robotics deployments.

That same month, Nvidia introduced Omniverse Avatar, a platform to generate interactive AI avatars designed for customer support and video conferencing

Deloitte’s services aim to “help clients understand and capitalize on the next massive wave disrupting business and society.”

The Unlimited Reality aims to provide clients with guidance on how to transform industrial operations through physically-accurate digital twins, to monetize digital assets, and to imagine and optimize new workplace models that combine humans and machines.
