Deloitte Taps AWS for Industry-Specific AI, Cloud Solutions
Consulting giant teams with cloud leader to develop industry-specific solutions and explore next-gen technologies for clients
Deloitte has partnered with AWS to use its suite of cloud and generative AI tools to help clients.
Under the multi-year agreement, Deloitte will leverage AWS platforms including Bedrock and SageMaker to help clients examine technologies that could augment their workflows.
The pair will launch an innovation lab where engineers from both companies can collaborate to build industry-specific solutions for clients in health care, financial and industrial services.
The joint innovation lab will also explore next-generation technologies, including quantum machine learning and autonomous robotics, to assess their relevance to a client's workflow.
Deloitte and AWS have also committed to providing funding to support customers with proofs of concept and help bring them into production.
This latest agreement expands their seven-year collaboration, during which they supported clients including TrueServe with cloud-based AI solutions.
“Customers across industries are seeking to understand the full transformative potential of generative AI to generate value for their business,” said Ruba Borno, AWS’ vice president in the company’s global specialist and partner organization. “Our collaboration with Deloitte has accelerated industry innovation with customers by combining technical and industry experience, along with the choice and the flexibility for customers to use a combination of different foundation models for their specific use cases.”
Deloitte will be given access to AWS platforms, including Bedrock, its fully managed service for developing foundation models and the machine learning development platform SageMaker.
The partnership will also extend to quantum computing, allowing Deloitte to leverage Braket, AWS’s cloud-based quantum service.
One of the first solutions developed as part of this latest partnership is Deloitte’s C-Suite AI.
Using Amazon Bedrock, financial services clients can build custom large language models to simplify enterprise contract workflows and handle queries from C-suite team members including chief financial officers.
Toyota Motors of North America is an early user having leveraged AWS’ machine learning and decision intelligence services through Deloitte to improve dynamic pricing and parts forecasting.
Deloitte said its latest partnership with AWS aligns with its IndustryAdvantage initiative. The consulting firm has allocated $2 billion to help clients develop industry-focused emerging technology solutions.
“This initiative will usher the next generation of this promising technology into production and help improve the operational efficiencies of the enterprise,” said Dounia Senawi, Deloitte Consulting’s chief commercial officer.
“By bringing an industry-specific lens to each of our clients, we are tapping into Deloitte’s IndustryAdvantage, demonstrating our ability to harness powerful technologies like generative AI to help increase workforce productivity, create a competitive edge in the market and improve end-customer satisfaction.”
