Nvidia GeForce Now cloud gaming service will soon be coming to consumer’s connected cars, with the announcement made at this year’s CES as part of Nvidia’s push to “enhance the in-vehicle experience.”

GeForce Now allows users to stream a real-time, full PC-gaming experience to connected cars, allowing users to play games while parked or charging their car, or for passengers in the back to play games if screens are connected.

“Accelerated computing, AI and connectivity are delivering new levels of automation, safety, convenience and enjoyment to the car,” said Ali Kani, Nvidia vice president of automotive. “The ability to stream popular titles from gamers’ libraries along with dozens of free-to-play games will bring the in-vehicle infotainment experience to new heights.”

In a pre-CES address, Kani also spoke of how next-generation cars, as well as shifting to autonomous and electric models, are set to be increasingly equipped with the same kinds of entertainment services available at home.

The GeForce Now system offers more than 1,000 compatible games, including Fortnite, Lost Ark and Destiny 2, as well as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.

Hyundai, BYD and Polestar are the first automakers to work alongside Nvidia to deliver the novel feature to vehicles.
