When Machines Dream: Reimagining Art with AI

Refik Anadol sees the oceans of data in AI as storytellers. Using deep learning algorithms, each data point is translated into digital pigments that 'paint' a machine's ethereal view of the world. This series of works, called Unsupervised, takes more than 200 years of art from The Museum of Modern Art in New York and transforms them into digital artwork that unfolds in real time. Unsupervised is a meditation on technology, creativity and modern art. The installation is on view at MoMA in New York City until March 5.
